Nicknamed after cartoon hero Yogi Bear's sidekick, Boo Boo Bear. Studied turf grass science in college and later worked as a laborer at the Monsanto chemical plant in Pensacola, Fla. Wears rain pants because cotton pants cause him to break out in a rash. Played mini-tours in late-1990s, winning multiple times on the DP Tour and the Emerald Coast Tour. Played high school golf with PGA Tour member Heath Slocum. Tour member Bubba Watson also attended and played golf at their high school. Slocum's dad, Jack, who runs the DP Tour, served as his caddie during finals of the Qualifying Tournament.
