Despite suffering from plantar fasciits, an ailment in his right foot for much of the year, finished among the top 30 money winners for the fourth time in five years. . .Led the FBR Open after first-round, 8-under 63, then finished seventh for his first Top-10 of the season. . .His 5-under-par 67 final round at the Ford Championship at Doral forced a playoff with Craig Parry. On the first playoff hole, Parry holed his second shot from the fairway on the par-4 18th for an eagle and victory over Verplank.
