Was the medalist at 1998 PGA Tour Qualifying Tournament. . .With his victory in the 2003 Masters, became the second left-hander to win a major championship, joining New Zealand's Bob Charles, who won the 1963 British Open. . .At age 13, wrote a letter to Jack Nicklaus seeking advice on whether he should switch to playing right-handed. Nicklaus' response was to stick to being a lefty and play with his natural swing. . .Member of 2000, '03 '05 and '07 Presidents Cup Team. . .Played on the Canadian Tour between 1993 and 1997.
