Player Notes

The remarkable parallels with his namesake Anders continued in 2007 as both players won for the second time on the European Tour. In 2002 he admitted he was inspired to succeed by his good friend's maiden victory in the PGA Championship at Wentworth Club when he secured his first European Tour title, the 2002 Irish Open at Fota Island. History repeated itself five years later when Anders won his second title and a few months later Soren followed suit with a win in the Mercedes-Benz Championship in Germany. . .Won his first Challenge Tour title within a year of turning professional, the 1998 Navision Open Golf Championship at Himmerland in Denmark, and graduated from the Challenge Tour at the end of that season. . .Four Top-10s in 2005 helped him finish 36th on the Order of Merit one place below his namesake, Anders, a feat he repeated in 2006 with his 34th place finish, but got the better of him by breaking into the Top-10 on the Order of Merit for the first time in 2007 when he finished eighth.
