A new tee has lengthened the closing hole, forcing players to fit their drives between the bunkers left and right. The approach shots are played to a green with three distinct tiers, so accuracy is at a premium, especially if the hole is cut in the narrow front part of the green. The champion will hoist the Wanamaker Trophy on the green in front of thousands of fans in the seats that will surround this and the nearby ninth green.
