Corporate hospitality preview set for April 18 at Hazeltine

Some of Minnesota's largest companies will enjoy an exclusive preview of corporate hospitality opportunities available at the 2009 PGA Championship -- and a highlight presentation featuring 2002 champion Rich Beem -- during a private reception at the Chambers Hotel.

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. -- It's still more than two years out, but Minnesota's 2009 PGA Championship will get under way on April 18, 2007, with an exclusive preview of corporate hospitality for Minnesota's largest companies. The 2009 PGA Championship is hosting a private reception at the Chambers Hotel from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., giving guests the first opportunity to preview premier hospitality packages for the biggest sporting event Minnesota has hosted since 2002.

"The PGA is proud to be back in Minnesota at Hazeltine National Golf Club," said Michael Belot, 2009 PGA Championship tournament director. "Thousands of Minnesotans, North and South Dakotans, Iowans and Wisconsinites took full advantage of the Championship in 2002, and every indication points to another record sellout for 2009, both for ticket sales and corporate hospitality."

Guests at the corporate preview reception will be treated to a 2002 PGA Championship highlight presentation featuring Rich Beem, winner of the 84th PGA Championship hosted at Hazeltine National Golf Club.

In addition, Sam Duncan, OfficeMax Chairman and CEO, will offer his insights on the unique opportunity to entertain employees and guests at the most prestigious golf event of the year.

"PGA hospitality packages are an unparalleled opportunity to leverage this excitement and invest in valued clientele, prospects and employees."

A wide range of corporate hospitality opportunities will be available, including private clubhouse locations, luxury chalet accommodations and club tables -- all of which will put guests steps away from the best golfers in the world.

Exclusive Clubhouse Hospitality packages offer two options within the Hazeltine National Golf Club Clubhouse. Designed to accommodate between 10 and 50 people, rooms provide private balcony access facing the 9th and 18th greens.

For companies interested in hosting up to 150 guests each day, the 2009 PGA Championship will offer chalets available in a number of different locations on the grounds. Each chalet patron gets the opportunity to work with a designer and caterer to customize the look and feel of the venue.

Also, Chalet and Clubhouse patrons will have the opportunity to purchase exclusive VIP seats in a private suite area. These seats will provide the Championship's best views on the 6th, 11th and 15th holes.

Club Tables will offer VIP treatment through access to an on-course, private club. Each table for 10 is personally identified and hosts can choose between four-day or seven-day food and beverage packages.

All hospitality patrons will receive advanced notice of the hospitality program, including an exclusive purchasing window for the 43rd Ryder Cup, scheduled to be played at Hazeltine in 2016.
