Second-round 64 was low round of the tournament on the South Course, equaled by Matt Jones in the final round...Posted his second runner-up finish at The Honda Classic, just one stroke behind Y.E. Made just four cuts in first 12 Nationwide Tour starts but game clicked in July and finished by making 13 consecutive cuts, the most by any player during the 2001 Nationwide Tour season. Eleven of his 14 top-25s came during his end of season streak. Defeated Rod Pampling with birdie-3 on first extra hole at Hershey Open for first career win. Has played four TOUR sanctioned events in Pennsylvania and has finished T13 or better including a T12 at the 2000 SEI Pennsylvania Classic...Earned first TOUR card by virtue of his T16 finish at the 1999 PGA TOUR Qualifying Tournament. His only career top-10 on the PGA TOUR came at the 2000 Greater Milwaukee Open. Final-round 8-under 63 vaulted him from T36 to T9...Two-time Virginia state amateur champion in 1996 and 1997.
