Won his second European Tour title at the Madeira Islands Open BPI – Portugal in March 2008. Enjoyed a strong start and an even more impressive end to the 2007 season with three top fives to finish 47th on the Order of Merit. His first Tour title came in 2002 at the Malaysian Open. Encouraged at the age of eight by Dad Alex, a retired police constable in Glasgow, he joined Ralston GC. Played amateur golf for Scotland at boy, youth and senior level. In 1999, the year after turning professional, he won the MasterCard Tour Order of Merit and 'Tartan Tour' Money List in Scotland before, later that year, going on to become the second successive Scottish winner of the European Tour Qualifying School. Led the 2000 race for the Sir Henry Cotton Rookie of the Year Award until the last month, eventually losing out to Ian Poulter. Finished 116th in the 2001 Order of Merit but was guaranteed a number of starts on the European Tour in 2002 and made the most of the opportunity with his maiden victory in the Malaysian Open. Is a season ticket holder at Rangers FC.
