Player Notes
One of the latest crop of talented young players to emerge from South Africa. Had a successful 2007 in homeland with three wins in total throughout the year. A consistent 2008 season on the European Tour saw him record his highest finish on the Order of Merit. A member of the Ernie Els Foundation in South Africa since 1999, receiving help and inspiration from the former European Tour Number One. Won the Irish Amateur Open Championship and a member of the South African team, alongside fellow European Tour Member Charl Schwartzel, which won the World Junior Team Championships in 2000. Comes from a strong tennis family with his father and brother both playing tennis at a provincial level but opted for golf.
