In an effort to attract more youth to the excitement of professional golf, the 92nd PGA Championship has announced that up to four juniors age 17 and under can receive complimentary admission with each paid adult ticket.

KOHLER, Wis. -- For the first time ever at a PGA Championship, each paid adult admission will receive up to four complimentary junior admissions, for children age 17 and under. The family-friendly ticket option for the season's final major at Whistling Straits focuses on attracting more youth to the excitement of professional golf.

The expanded complimentary junior admissions program allows families to enjoy the Championship at an affordable cost. "Starting at $60, a family of six can come to a practice round," says Barry Deach, Championship Director. "I can't think of any other major golf championship that provides this kind of access to the finest all-professional field in the sport, and at such a reasonable price."

Practice rounds, run Monday through Wednesday, offer spectators the only opportunity to bring cameras and to seek autographs from the players.

Complimentary junior tickets were introduced at last year's 91st PGA Championship at Hazeltine National Golf Club in Chaska, Minn., where two junior admissions were given per one adult ticket purchase. The efforts were met with great enthusiasm, resulting in more than 40,000 junior admissions distributed throughout the week.

The 92nd PGA Championship seeks to exceed last year's success in an effort to get more young people interested and excited about the game of golf.

"We're excited to double the offer of free junior admissions for the fans in Wisconsin," says Deach. "We proudly take on the 'border battle' challenge of distributing more tickets than our friends in Minnesota."

Valuing the development of young people through golf and building excitement for the sport is a top priority of The PGA of America and Kohler Co. In fact, Kohler donates $1 for every round played on the Straits course to The First Tee, an organization that impacts young people through the game of golf. Offering complimentary junior admissions further extends this shared mission and illustrates both organizations' dedication to the initiative.

"I'm proud of the commitment The PGA of America and Kohler have made to families and to youth interested in golf," says Scott Anderson, 92nd PGA Championship General Chairman and Group President-Hospitality & Real Estate, Kohler. Co. "It's clear that youth participation in the sport of golf is increasing, and we couldn't be happier."
