KOHLER, Wis. -- Steve Stricker, a native of Edgerton, Wis., and the No. 4 ranked player in the world, has joined the field for the 92nd PGA Championship at Whistling Straits in Kohler, Wis. Stricker is one of 101 players from 19 countries who have submitted their official entry forms to play in the season's final major.

Sticker, who was inducted into the Wisconsin State Golf Association Hall of Fame in December 2007, will be competing for the first time in a PGA Championship held in his home state.

Stricker is joined by Graeme McDowell -- 2010 U.S. Open Champion; Phil Mickelson -- 2010 Masters Champion; Vijay Singh -- 2004 PGA Champion at Whistling Straits; four-time PGA Champion Tiger Woods; recently crowned Open Champion Louis Oosthuizen of South Africa along with Northern Ireland's Rory McIlroy.
