Starting to play golf at age 10. , ,Hiratsuka plays on both the Asian Tour and the Japan Tour, earned his Asian Tour card through Qualifying School in 2009 and nearly won his maiden title at the season-opening Asian Tour International in Bangkok, only to lose by two strokes to South Africa’s James Kamte. He posted two other top-10s to finish in 54th position on the Order of Merit to secure his 2010 card. Started 2010 strongly with top-three finishes in the Asian Tour International in Bangkok and Avantha Masters in India. Went on to win his maiden Asian Tour victory at the Air Bagan Myanmar Open presented by IBTC by a massive 10 shots to earn a two-year exemption. Subsequently claimed a second title in 2010 when he won the Queen's Cup in Thailand when he held off Thaworn Wiratchant by one stroke. He is also five-time winner on the Japan Golf Tour and won the Chunichi Crowns in 2009, which he said was the highlight of his career.
