Robin Meade is the lead news anchor for HLN's Morning Express with Robin Meade. In 2011, Robin was invited by The PGA of America to participate in the PGA Grand Slam of Golf Pro-Am. New to the game of golf and wanting to get comfortable on course prior to the Pro-Am, Robin signed up to participate in a Get Golf Ready program. In only five lessons Robin was confidently playing with the pros in the PGA Grand Slam of Golf Pro-Am. Here are some of Robin’s thoughts about her experience with Get Golf Ready.
“I chose to participate in Get Golf Ready because I want to learn how to golf. I want to feel comfortable on the golf course and enjoy playing this game and that’s what Get Golf Ready does for you, 5 lessons and you’ll be able to go out and play. I was so excited to get started that I even invited my friend Kristen to join me. By the end of the lessons I was finally ready to get on the golf course. This is the third time I’ve been on a golf course and I didn’t make every hit great but I connected. That’s what I wanted to do. That was my goal. Although I have never really played golf before, I have quickly found that fun and fitness are just part of the Get Golf Ready experience. I went from successfully learning the basics to competing in a Pro-Am. All after just a handful of get golf ready lessons. I am never going to forget this day!”
Robin’s coachable personality, coupled with proper instruction, gave her an easy transition onto the golf course. While you may not need to prepare to play with the pros, you can get comfortable on course too, play confidently with your friends, family and colleagues, and enjoy all that the game has to offer.
