2014 PGA Junior League Championship

Eight All-Star teams competed for the PGA Junior League Golf Championship at TPC Sugarloaf in Duluth, Ga., on October 24 - 26. Team California captured the title, with a victory over Team Georgia. Team California also won the title in 2012, while Team Georgia won in 2013. This was the third straight year each team has reached the championship match.

The Championship had tremendous media coverage, and you don’t have to look far to see how much fun everyone was having – participants, friends and family. You can review the scoring results, join the #PGAJLG conversation on Twitter, view event photos on PGA.com and watch interviews conducted by Sports Illustrated Kid’s own kid reporter, Jake Aron.

PGA Junior League Golf gives boys and girls 13 and under the opportunity to learn and play golf in a fun, social and team environment. Much like other recreational league sports, PGA Junior League Golf participants play in team uniforms with jersey numbers. Young golfers learn the game and play under the direction of PGA/LPGA Professionals, who serve as team captains. The program has skyrocketed in popularity, growing from nearly 9,000 participants representing 700 teams in 2013, to 18,000 participants and 1,500 teams in 2014.
