WEDNESDAY: Friendship Match at Medinah caps off unforgettable experience 
It was a day that 24 junior golfers from the United States and Europe will not soon forget. The Junior Ryder Cup teams played a 10-hole "Friendship" Match at Medinah Country Club, site of the 39th Ryder Cup, and met Ryder Cup Captains Davis Love III and Jose Maria Olazabal.
TUESDAY: United States wins Junior Ryder Cup for third straight time 
Casie Cathrea, Karen Chung and Esther Lee went undefeated over their two days of play to lead the United States to its third straight Junior Ryder Cup victory. Overall, the six U.S. girls were 5-1 in singles and 3-0 in foursomes, while the U.S. boys earned 2 1/2 points in six singles matches.
MONDAY: United States team holds slim lead after Day 1 
The United States is ahead by a 6 1/2 to 4 1/2 count over Europe after six morning foursome matches and five afternoon mixed four-ball matches on Monday. Play was delayed 90 minutes in the morning due to frost at Olympia Fields Country Club, and darkness ended play with one match still out on the course.
Junior Ryder Cup captains anticipate start of premier international event 
United States Captain Roger Warren and European Captain Stuart Wilson know that their teams will go through a series of emotions over the next few days at the 2012 Junior Ryder Cup. One of their biggest jobs, then, will be to help keep those emotions in check as they lead their players through the two days of match-play competition.

It's been quite a year for Alabama native and top-ranked junior golfer Robby Shelton. The 16-year-old from Wilmer, Ala., followed up an impressive performance at this summer's Junior PGA Championship with a victory in the 2012 Junior Players Championship at TPC Sawgrass.
Renowned Olympia Fields looking forward to hosting Junior Ryder Cup 
Olympia Fields Country Club is no stranger to hosting prestigious events in golf. The renowned club, which opened its doors in 1915, has hosted two PGA Championships two U.S. Opens and a U.S. Senior Open. It will add to that glowing resume when a group of 12 junior golfers from the United States host their European counterparts

In 2010, the U.S. Junior Ryder Cup team won its second consecutive trophy with a narrow 13½ to 10½ triumph at Gleneagles Resort in Perthshire, Scotland. It was the second consecutive victory for the United States, following a 22-2 domination in 2008 in Bowling Green, Ky.
