I held my first golf club at 18 months old in Durham, NC. I attended Jordan High School, was a scholar athlete and the golf team MVP Junior and Senior year, as well as PAC 6 Conference Player of the Year my senior year. Throughout high school worked under the tutelage of PGA Master Professional Ed Ibarguen at Duke University Golf Club, where I found my love for the golf business and learned a lot about effective training from the Duke Golf Teams. I attended The Pennsylvania State University, as a part of the Professional Golf Management School from 1999-2003. I learned how the business really works through a wonderful internship program with the guidance of the PSU PGM Advisory Staff, which to this day has been one of the driving forces in my professional career. After working his first full year (2003)out of school in the NC mountains for Dick Howard at Sapphire Lakes CC as the 1st Assistant Golf Professional, then took an opportunity to become the 1st Assistant Golf Professional for Jay Kennedy at Interlachen CC, in Winter Park, FL...which has since been recognized as a top 100, Platinum Club. Being at Interlachen CC from 2003-2006 was an eye-opening experience, which led me to go after my passion for teaching, playing and promoting the game. I made a bold move to try and begin my own instructional business, Nearest Point of Relief, locally in the Orlando area. Looking back, this was the best learning experience of my life and I found out who I am, where I was, where I wanted to be and how to get there. Little did I know that 2 years later, this experience and the drive to continue developing a business model that would work in a changing economy, would lead me to my current position as a PGA Golf Coach @ Northcrest Golf Driving Range. I am working on creating the offers that all golfers wish were out there. I am bringing top-notch customer service, great intuition for the game and a great experience to Atlanta area golfers, one by one.
