Chris was born and raised in Thornton, Colorado. He graduated from Mesa State College in Grand Junction, Colorado, with his Bachelor of Arts in Business Management. He was working at Bookcliff Country Club as the 1st Assistant Golf Professional in Grand Junction, Colorado. Bookcliff Country Club has 525 golfing members, 200 social members and 100 dinning members. He worked under Head Golf Professional Mr. Micheal Mendelson, PGA for 3 years. Before Bookcliff Country Club, he was the 1st Assistant Golf Professional at the Rio Grande Club in South Fork, Colorado. The Rio Grande Club is a high end resort golf course. He worked under Head Golf Professional Mr. Cole Wasinger for 2 1/2 years. During his time as an Assistant Golf Professional, he graduated from the PGM PGA with his Class A.
