PGA Master Professional with over 30 years experience in high end private country clubs. Strengths include rules of golf, teaching/club fitting, merchandising, tournament ops, people, leadership and team building skills. Officiated at 10 PGA Championships, 1999 Ryder Cup Matches, 1999 and 2008 USGA Women's Open. Instructor at 10 USGA/PGA rules of golf workshops. Teacher of Charlie Rymer, ESPN golf analyst and former PGA Tour player and Tim Jackson, nationally ranked amateur and two time USGA Mid-Am Champion and twice Walker Cup team member. Won Tennessee Section Horton Smith Award in 1994. Was the Host Professional at the PGA Tour's AT&T Classic in 2007 also was the host of the 1990 Ben Hogan Tour Baton Rouge Open. Hosted numerous other events including USGA qualifiers, college tournaments and charity outings. Certified Titleist and Ping master club fitter. Learned merchandising from John Spiroplaus and Mark Darnell, author of the PGA Professionals guide to Merchandising. Graduated from Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, GA in 1975 and was a member of the nationally ranked golf team.
