Eric is the PGA Director of Instruction at Continental Golf Club in Flagstaff, Arizona and has over 15 years of golf instruction experience. During his career he has served as the Head Golf Professional at Forest Highlands Golf Club, Point O’ Woods Country Club, an Assistant Golf Professional at TPC Scottsdale, and the Penn State Golf Courses.
Eric’s philosophy focuses on creating efficiency in your swing over requiring you to adopt one particular teaching method. Eric’s coaching programs combine traditional golf instruction and the skill acquisition methods employed by team sports, which center on training for play performance. Practices are purposeful, specific, and quality-based as we engage in “game-like” scenarios. Modern sports-science proves that providing players regular access to feedback while learning new motor skills reinforces correct movements at quicker rates. This model allows players to experience more affordable access to teaching and practicing. Ultimately, Eric’s objective is to teach golfers how to improve, have fun, and shoot lower scores.
Eric is a PGA Class A Member, Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) Certified Professional, Certified AimPoint Instructor, FlightScope Certified Professional, and K-Vest 3D Certified Professional and uses these resources in his teaching. The FlightScope X2 is the worlds’ first completely wireless, battery-operated, 3D Doppler tracking radar for golf. K-Vest 3D, developed by the TPI, is a powerful 3D motion capture platform that consistently and accurately analyzes the 3D motion of a golfers’ swing. The software captures swing efficiency, via the kinematic sequence graph, and allows users to view key biomechanical information including posture and dynamic movements.
