Greg Dorfler has over 17 years of golf experience, managing and operating golf facilities, as well as significant involvement in opening two golf courses in Geneva, Illinois. Greg joined the Marriott Golf organization in 1991 as an Assistant Golf Professional at Camelback Golf Club in Scottsdale, AZ. In 1995, Mr. Dorfler was an Assistant Golf Professional for Kemper Sports Management at Kemper Lakes Golf Course. Mr. Dorfler obtained his first Head Golf Professional/Director of Instruction position in 1996 at Mill Creek Golf Club and Academy in Geneva, IL. As a startup facility in 1996 and then opening a new clubhouse in 1998, he played a vital role in overseeing the course's business development and operations. Greg developed all instructional programs for the Academy, and possesses extensive teaching expertise and club fitting. In 2000, Mr. Dorfler was hired to create from the ground up and open Tanna Farms Golf Club in Geneva, IL. As the Head Golf Professional, he managed and oversaw the entire golf operation. He was responsible for annually increasing rounds and overall revenue through Membership programs, family golf programs and merchandising. In 2007, Tanna Farms was named "Best Golf Course in the Fox Valley" by the Kane County Reader's Choice Awards. Mr. Dorfler is dedicated to customer service and ensuring customer satisfaction along with overseeing and managing golf operations in a professional manner. His instructional background includes experience with the Jack Nicklaus Golf Academy in Austin, TX and the John Jacobs Golf School in Scottsdale, AZ. Mr. Dorfler earned his Bachelor of Science in Business (Marketing-Professional Golf Management) from Ferris State University. He has been a Class A member of the Professional Golfers Association of America since 1993, and participates in a variety of IPGA golf tournaments and was a 2006 contestant in the Illinois Open Championship.
