Michael G. Attara, PGA

Michael (Mike) G. Attara is the Principal Partner in the Golf Management Firm Applied Golf Group. The company, based in New Jersey is a midsized management firm that includes in it's services trun key management and consulting with an emphasis on development of growth of the game and marketing initiatives to increase public golf market share and build membership loyalty. The firms mission is to provide the best in golf management services by providing our customers with expert advice and tailoring services that meet the facilities needs and price point. Mike continues to retain the title of Director of Operations for Eagle Ridge Golf Club, an award-winning club located in Lakewood, New Jersey that is managed by Applied Golf Group LLC. He has held this position since February 2002. Mike Attara has been professionally associated with the golf industry for nearly two decades. He has been a Class "A" PGA member for 19 years and is certified in the area of general management. Mr. Attara is a member of the New Jersey Section Board of Directors, he has chaired the Growth of the Game Committee for the past four years and currently holds the position of Vice President of the New Jersey Golf Foundation and Chairs the Goverment Relations Committee. Mike has been a four time recipient of the New Jersey Section Presidents Plaque for his contributions to growing the game of golf. Mr. Attara has been a speaker at two Play Golf America Day Conferences and has given many talks relating to his development of one of the countries most active Play Golf America Programs. Mike has overseen the instruction of hundreds of Play Golf America events. Most recently the course opened a new nine holes in 2008, much in part due to the success of the growth of the game initiatives conducted by Mike and his staff of six teaching professionals. Mr. Attara is a graduate of Bucks County College, located in Newton, Pennsylvania. He and his wife, son and daughter reside in Yardley, Pennsylvan
