Michael G Hensel

Born in Westland MI, Michael Hensel grew up learning the game of Golf in his Grandfathers backyard. Hooked on golf from his first swing, he played from time to time throughout High School but never played for the school team. After HS, Michael attended the Golf Academy of America in Orlando FL, where he was one of the top in his class of 52 students in 2011. Michael was the only one to recieve 2 Awards, the Presidents Plaque which is for GPA, Attendance, and School Work, and The PGA Master Professional Conrad Rehling Award which is given to the Most Improved Player (14.3 hdcp down to 1.8 hdcp), Work Ethic, and Recomendation from PGA Professionals. Michael achieved Medalist in his Players Ability Test firing rounds of 74, 70 at the Par 73 Florida State Seminole Golf Course in Tallahassee FL. After the GAA, Michael returned home to Michigan and became an Assistant Golf Professional and Director of Instruction at Pheasant Run Golf Club. He is working on his PGA Bookwork to become a Class A Professional within the next few years. Michael also enjoys playing in many Michigan Section and Chapter Tournaments.
