Patrick A. Gunning, PGA

I am a 2008 graduate of the Professional Golf Management Program at Penn State University. While a student, I completed internships at North Hempstead Country Club in Port Washington, NY; Pebble Beach Golf Links in Monterey, CA; and Shinnecock Hills Golf Club in Southampton, NY.  Upon graduation, I continued to work at Shinnecock Hills and am now the First Assistant Professional.

In the winter months, I live in Jupiter, FL where I was an Assistant Professional at Jupiter Hills Club for 4 seasons.  This coming winter season, I will be an Assistant Professional at Seminole Golf Club in Juno Beach, FL.

In addition to my experience as an Assistant Professional, I also have experience working with Major Championships.  I have assisted in the practice facility and merchandise operation for the 2007 and 2008 Masters Tournament at Augusta National Golf Club. 

I enjoy growing the game of golf and helping players improve their games.  I am proficient in the use of video technology for golf swing instruction and believe it is a great tool to help players improve.  I also believe that practicing short game and putting will take more shots off of your handicap than a full swing change will!
