A graduate of Eastern Washington University with a BA in Recreation and Leisure Services, he has been the Head Golf Professional/Director of Golf serving Polson Bay Golf Course since 1987. During his tenure he has been instrumental in two golf course expansions and two clubhouse expansions. These projects now position Polson Bay Golf Course as a 27-hole destination golf course with a full service clubhouse that includes a PGA golf shop, full menu restaurant and bar with complete banquet facilities. He has developed and implemented many programs at Polson Bay that continue to pay dividends. He developed the Polson Junior Golf Program which began with barely over 20 participants in 1987 and now numbers over 150 juniors annually. This program has introduced literally thousands of children to golf in a week-long camp format. The camp uses two Class A PGA members and one Class A LPGA member as lead instructors along with notable club amateurs and high school players as instructors and role models. The camp teaches etiquette, full swing, chipping/pitching, putting and culminates in a Drive, Pitch and Putt competition open to all participants. He also initiated the Lake City Open golf tournament. This event is the premier 36-hole championship in Montana and counts former PGA Tour players, mini-tour players and Montana's finest professionals and amateurs as it's champions. They also are proud of the Fathers Day 2-Person Scramble. This event has raised well over $20,000 for the Fathers Day Golf Scholarship, given to graduating seniors of Polson High School. He has shown a commitment to his profession, as well, by serving the PGA of America at virtually every level of governance. He has served as WMC PGA President from 1990-1994, PNW PGA President from 1998-2000 and currently serves on the National PGA of America Board of Directors as District 14 Director.
