Born and raised in Lexington Ky, I joined the United States Marines shortly after high school and served 6 years Combat Infantry. After ending my active service in 1993, I returned to Lexington and was instrumental in opening the first Golds Gym. As a personal trainer and General Manager I developed a passion for working with the public! In 1997 I married the love of my life Dana Ann Young ,who's father introduced me to golf. As an athlete who grew up living and breathing baseball, the game of golf came somewhat natural to me. Within 5 years, I was playing to a scratch handicap. My passion for golf inspired me to take a postion as General Manager of a Las Vegas Golf retail store from 1997 to 2000. After the franchise closed, I entered a career in Finance and Real Estate. 2012 was last season as an amateur with a +3.8 handicap. Almost 13 years later a father of 2 wonderful kids, Trevor and Trinity, I decided I want to work the rest of my days in my passion of golf . As one who's always been a seeker of knowledge, I've studied the swing philospys of top PGA instructors. Teaching golf is without a doubt the most fullfilling thing I've ever done. My past experience of training people in the fitness industry and the training of Marines under my command is serving as a great foundation in getting across swing fundamentals and implementing my knowlege of the greatest game ever. Still a competitor and a + handicap, I can help you with not only your swing but how to play the game from course management to mental focus.
