Walter Kim has been in the golf business since 1994 and became a PGA Class A Golf Professional in February of 1998. He is a strong player, accomplished teacher and a consummate promoter of the game of golf. Walter continuously creates a welcoming atmosphere for family and friends to enjoy the game of golf. He prides himself in keeping up with the latest developments in golf equipment and continually looks for better ways to communicate and teach his students with the use of video analysis and state-of-the-art training aids. Walter started out his career serving as the first assistant at the inception at Stanton Ridge Golf & Country Club in Whitehouse Station, NJ in 1994. He continued to broaden his skills by moving on to Fairmount Country Club in 1997. Walter’s expertise and long standing history with Stanton Ridge brought him back in 2005 as a PGA Class A Golf Professional, club ambassador and lead instructor. Walter’s rewarding career has allowed him to expand his experience in different facets of the golf business. Walter has enjoyed working at a variety of golf environments including: Ballyowen, a part of Crystal Springs Golf Resort in Hamburg, NJ; American Golf, a corporate entity, at Beaver Brook Country Club, Clinton, NJ ; as well as at a PGA recognized golf range at Branchburg Family Golf, Branchburg, NJ. Walter’s passion to see the game reach players of a new generation brought his talents to the Rutgers Golf Team in 2007 where he serving as their Swing/Assistant Coach. Walter, recognizing the relevance golf plays in business, also created Golf Optimizer in 1995. This innovative corporate seminar instructs & guides companies on the benefits of integrating golf in the corporate environment to increase business transactions & revenue. Walter is a graduate from the University of Vermont with a BS Degree in Finance.
