William McBride is a second generation PGA Golf Professional. He says that "I was born with a sand wedge in my mouth instead of a silver spoon, so you can say I was destined to be a PGA Golf Professional". He grew up around the golf business and played countless golf tournament. Even though he never became the player he hoped he would, he found a new respect for the golf business in peticular the business of being a PGA Professional. He has apprenticed under a number of great PGA Professionals (including his father) as he grew up and moved forward into his own experiences. He started into the PGA Program in 1994, officially starting the GPTP program (now the PGM program) in 1996 and completing the program in October 2000. He has worked at different types of facilities including The Country Club at Landfall (during his college years), Roanoke Country Club, Hanging Rock Golf Club (with his dad), and currently at The Westlake Golf and Country Club.
