From 1995 through 1997 he was an Assistant Professional at Hillcrest Country Club located in Kansas City, MO. Beginning in 1978 he took the Head Professional position at Claycrest Golf Club located in Liberty, MO. He stayed in this position until April 1, 2009. During this time he became the Men's Varsity Golf Coach for William Jewell College. William Jewell College is the current owner of Claycrest Golf Club. Beginning April 1, 2009 he assumed the position of PGA Director of Instruction at Cardinal Hill Golf Club, formerly Claycrest Golf Club. During his tenure at Claycrest he was honored to serve as section district director and eventually became President of the Midwest Section PGA. In 1995 he was honored to be awarded the Midwest Section PGA Golf Professional of the year. In 1998 he was chosen as the Midwest Section Teacher of the year. Through his time at Claycrest, his job title was PGA Director of Golf. He was tasked with annual budgets, membership enhancement and course development. During this time the junior golf program grew from a few dozen kids annually to over 200 boys and girls from ages 6 to 15 years of age. A high school and college prep program was started by him and has grown to over 50 students annually looking at improving their competitive skills. During his time as a Midwest Section Board Member while serving as public relations chairperson, he had the opportunity to develope a relationship with one of the local television stations and produce a show called the the Nineth Hole. It featured a different Golf Professional each week and talked about the latest in equipment, instruction and club fitting methods available.
