Fourth and Goal

June 8, 2003 — The final round is underway at Aronimink, and the Senior PGA Championship is on track to finish up on schedule late Sunday afternoon as event organizers had hoped.

Back on Track

June 8, 2003 — The rain, which washed out play before noon on Saturday, let up overnight, and play resumed at 8 a.m. Sunday with the field in the middle of the third round.

Stadler Penalized After Missing Tee Time

June 7, 2003 — Craig Stadler was penalized two strokes after missing his tee time for Saturday's third round of the Senior PGA Championship.

Saturated Saturday

June 7, 2003 — Seiji Ebihara moved out to a two-stroke lead over Gil Morgan, Allen Doyle and John Jacobs on Saturday before the third round of the Senior PGA Championship was suspended because of rain. Play was scheduled to resume at 8 a.m. Sunday.

Weather or Not

June 7, 2003 — More rain is predicted for Philadelphia Saturday, and the timing of its arrival could add yet another element of intrigue to an event already awash in good stories.

Round 2 Review: Route 66

June 6, 2003 — On a day at Aronimink Golf Club most players thought would be their best chance to go low all week, the lowest anyone got was 4-under 66. But for Gil Morgan, one of two players to post that score, it was good enough to grab a share of the lead after two rounds of the 64th Senior PGA Championship.

A False Forecast

June 5, 2003 — All week long, the players looked toward Friday as potentially the best day for scoring. The skies had cleared and the course was drying out from the pouring rain of earlier in the week. Friday would be the day to make their move.
