Played on the European Tour between 1977 and '95. When he turned 50 in 1995, joined the European Seniors Tour and won the London Masters in his only start. He then came over to America and made a considerable impact on the U.S. Senior Tour with a tie for fifth in his first event, the Transamerica and then won the Ralph's Senior Classic. Bland ended his 1995 Champions Tour year with a T-6th place finish in the Emerald Coast Classic. He continued his good play in 1996 by winning the season opener in Puerto Rico, and finished the year with four wins to finish third on the money list. With Graham Marsh, they won the 1997 Legends of Golf. |
