Got started in the game by working as a caddie for his father in Stillwater, Ok. Played on the PGA Tour between 1975 and 1999, in 532 starts won four times. He was runner-up five times and had 59 top-10 finishes. In the late 90s, worked as an on-course commentator for The Golf Channel. . .Made five appearances on the Senior Tour after turning 50 in August of 1989. Did not play his first event until the first of October due to a back injury he sustained right before he was eligible to play. . .In five starts on the Champions Tour in 1999, best finish T15th, Vantage Championship and Raley's Gold Rush Classic.
