Played on the PGA Tour during the winter months of the 1970s . . Has played in seven PGA Championships and five U.S. Opens... Won the 1991 Senior Players Championship, which earned him a spot on the former Champions Tour. Resigned as the head professional at Piping Rock Club in New York after 14 years... Played basketball and baseball at Bucknell University and took up golf while in college... Ranked first in the Champions Tour "All-Around" category in 1994. Broke his ankle in a freak accident when his leg was hanging out of the golf cart in May of 1997. Underwent neck surgery early in 1996 and was out of action for two months. |
