The 66th Senior PGA Championship could not be a success without the help from local Volunteers. Over 1,600 adults and juniors from the region and bordering states will travel to Ligonier to donate their time and energy and once again make this Major Championship a success. Volunteers in this Committee assist PGA Staff in selling tickets and journals at Championship Gates.
Volunteers in this Committee register Caddies as they arrive on May 22 - 24, 2005. During the Championship this Committee distributes and collects Caddie Vests. Staffing the Bag Room is also a responsibility of this Committee.

This committee will work with the PGA Rules Committee to coordinate the evacuation of players from the golf course if an evacuation is required. Inclement weather is the most common, but not only reason for evacuation.
Golf carts will be issued to authorized individuals during the Championship. Members of this Committee distribute and collect the golf carts each day.


Marshals maintain control of the gallery, thus easing the movement of players, caddies, officials and media. Marshals silence the crowd when required to allow players to swing.

The Public Scoreboard lists all of the players and their scores on each hole played. Members of this Committee assist the PGA's calligrapher in posting these scores.
Over the next 4 months Volunteers in this Committee will assist PGA Staff with mailings, filing, answering telephones and other administrative tasks necessary to plan the Championship. Volunteers of this Committee will be asked to work on weekdays between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

Volunteers in this Committee distribute coolers containing refreshments to tees, replenish them during the day and collect them in the evening. Some heavy lifting is required. Good physical condition is mandatory.
Volunteers in this Committee transport players to and from the golf course, airports and hotels during the Championship. Drivers inventory vehicles before the Championship. After the Championship the Committee collects the vehicles for pick-up by Cadillac.
Volunteers in this Committee assemble and distribute volunteer credentials and uniforms. This will take place at St. Vincent College in Latrobe, Penn. from April 27 - May 1, 2005. During the Championship this Committee staffs the Volunteer Headquarters helping to check-in fellow Volunteers
