Player Notes

Won the 1976 Australian order of Merit. Played in 514 PGA Tour events finishing in the top-10, 40 times. Last top-10 finish was his T7th finish at the 1994 Kemper Open. Diagnosed as a diabetic in high school, he also has battled melanoma in the past few years Also discovered a dime-sized mole on his left knee in 1991 and had surgery to remove the growth. After treatment and subsequent follow-ups, was cancer-free for five years before he discovered a small growth on his left thigh in 2002. Had surgery on his left leg in July 2002, followed by a series of chemotherapy treatments to treat the cancer. Has been a part of the Golf Channel announce team the last few years. Made his Champions Tour start in the 2003 Senior British Open, he finished T27th which was his best finish in six starts.
