Is the oldest player ever to qualify for the PGA Tour, successfully making through the Qualifying school in 1980 at the age of 46. Made Senior Tour history in 1995 by becoming the first to complete the ultimate "double dip". Won the over-60 First of America Classic by six strokes over Ken Still and Gay Brewer, then won the regular event by five over Babe Hiskey. A year later at 61 years, 8 months, 5 days, became the Senior Tour's third oldest winner at the rain-shortened Brickyard Crossing Championship.
