His dad got him started in the game at age 3 and a half...Biggest thrill in golf came in 1978 when his parents were on hand to see him capture his first PGA TOUR victory in San Antonio...Won all-state honors in basketball while in high school and was also a member of a state championship team...Named his youngest son after former President Ronald Reagan and says his biggest thrill outside of golf was the day his son, Reagan, was born...Is an owner of a water-treatment business..Played on the PGA Tour between 1977 and 1989, in 371 events. Along with his two wins in Texas, finished 2nd twice at the 1982 Tournament of Champions and 1985 Buick Invitational. Finished in the top-ten, 24 times and made 217 cuts.
