Player Notes

Did not turn professional until he was 31 years old. Built upon a fabulous debut season on the European Seniors Tour by winning the Tobago Plantations Seniors Classic and finishing second three times during 2005. Featured in the top ten a further four times en route to fourth place on the Order of Merit. Played on the US Champions Tour in 2003 but did not make an impression there and decided to join Horacio on the European Seniors Tour in 2004, winning on two occasions, firstly in the Digicel Jamaica Classic, in association with Sony Ericsson, and secondly in the Bovis Lend Lease European Senior Masters in September. Beat Australian Terry Gale in a sudden-death play-off in Jamaica and showed great character in the latter tournament when he won despite the pressure of being paired with Scotland's Sam Torrance in the final group on Sunday. A regular on The European Tour between 1986 and 1991, his best year came in 1989 when he finished 66th on the Order of Merit, thanks to seventh place finishes in both the Lancia Italian Open and the Torras Monte Carlo Open. A lover of Bond movies, proved he has a 'golden eye' of his own with six career holes-in-one in competition. Earned fully-exempt status on the 2003 Champions Tour after T5 at the National Qualifying Tournament in the fall. Played steady golf for 72 holes at World Woods GC and finished at 9-under 279, tied with David Eger, Dave Barr and Mark Pfeil...Advanced to the finals by virtue of a T6 performance (1-under 287) at the Champions Tour regional qualifier at Metrowest CC in Orlando, FL.
