Who's Eligible to Play?
Officials of The PGA of America have approved the following list of players eligible to compete in the 68th Senior PGA Championship, provided that they are at least 50 years of age. The total field will be a maximum of 156 players.
- All former Senior PGA Champions
- All former PGA Champions
- All former Masters champions
- All former U.S. Open champions
- All former British Open champions
- All former U.S. Ryder Cup Team members
- The 15 low scorers and ties in the 2006 Senior PGA Championship
- The top 50 money-winners on the 2006 Champions Tour
- The top 50 money-leaders from the 2007 Champions Tour money list as of May 7, 2007
- All "Official" Champions Tour tournament winners from the 2006 Senior PGA Championship to the 2007 Senior PGA Championship
- The top 35 finishers from the 2006 Callaway Golf Senior PGA Professional National Championship
- Winners of the last five U.S. Senior Opens (2002-2006)
- The winner of the 2006 Senior British Open
- The top eight players from the 2006 European Seniors Tour Order of Merit
- The top four players from the 2006 Japanese Seniors Tour Order of Merit
- The winners of official PGA Tour, Japan PGA Tour or European Tour events in the preceding five calendar years (2002-2006) and during the current year up to the Senior PGA Championship ñ for 50-year-olds only (A one-time exemption)
- The top 30 from the Champions Tour career money list as of May 7, 2007
- The top 30 from the Career Money List as of May 7, 2007 (Combined PGA Tour, Champions Tour)
- Any former PGA Professional National Champion turning 50 between the 2006 Senior PGA Championship and the 2007 Senior PGA Championship (A one-time exemption)
- Special Invitation - The PGA of America reserves the right to invite additional players not included in the categories listed above.
Openings caused by the withdrawal or non-entry of any of the 35 Senior PGA Professionals will be filled exclusively from an alternate list determined at the 2006 Callaway Golf Senior PGA Professional National Championship. All other openings will be filled, in order, from the 2007 Champions Tour money list through May 7, 2007.
