Ishii qualified for his first U.S. Senior Open in his first attempt�He advanced through sectional qualifying by surviving a two hole playoff with Chuck Davis�Has played in multiple USGA events such as the 1972 Boys' Junior, 1974 U.S. Amateur Championship, 1975 U.S. Amateur Public Links, and the 1988 U.S. Open where he made the cut�Won 14 tournaments on the Japan PGA Tour including the Mid-Pacific Open, six of those wins came in 1987�Inducted into the Hawaii Golf Hall of Fame and the Hawaii High School Sports Hall of Fame (2006), also inducted into the Hawaii Sports Hall of Fame (2004)�Most memorable golf experiences are winning the 1990 United Airlines Hawaiian Open and becoming the first foreigner to lead the money list on the Japan Tour in 1987�Has six hole-in-ones and two double eagles�Ishii is the Director of Golf at Pearl Country Club in Aiea, Hawaii�He also operates the David S.
