Was introduced to the game by playing with his mother and brother as a youngster.�.�.�He and his wife enjoy traveling around the country in their RV motorhome.�.�.�Built a tee box and fairway next to a cornfield on his property in Florida.�.�.�His heroes are his mother, wife and daughter, the women in his life.�.�.�Has worked with such golf instructors as David Leadbetter and Jim McLean. When he turned professional in 1978, he missed qualifying for the Tour six times before finally making it in the fall of 1981.�.�.�Didn't really play full-time on the tour until 1986 when he shot a 67 in qualifying for the Honda Classic and went on to win the tournament. Since then he has also won the 1987 Hardee's Golf Classic & 1990 Buick Southern Open.�.�.� Has played in 377 PGA Tour events, has made 187 cuts and finished in the Top-10 26 times. Started prepping for the Champions Tour in 2004:
