Serves as a board member for the PGA of Japan, and has also served on the policy board for the Japan Golf Tour during his career. In 1981 Kuramoto made as electrifying debut as a professional with five victories on the Japan Golf Tour and became second on Japan Golf Tour Money Ranking with �32,345,130. Since then Kuramoto has rank within Top-10 on the Money List 10 times. Earned fully-exempt status for 2006 Champions Tour by earning medalist honors at the 2005 Champions Tour National Qualifying Tournament. Finished the six-round event at 3-under-par and two strokes in front of runner-up. Kuramoto was also the medalist at the PGA TOUR National Qualifying Tournament in 1992 and played on the PGA TOUR in 1993. Capturing 34 career victories in Japan. Underwent open-heart surgery in 2000 to correct mitral valve prolapse.�.�.�Started to play golf as a 10-year-old when his father took him to a driving range.�.�.�Favorite golf courses are Tokyo GC and Muirfield Village GC.�.�.�One course he would like to play is Prestwick GC in Scotland.
