Started playing the game at 12 because his older brother Danny was playing and he would tag along with him. Won the Oklahoma State Junior title in 1973 and won the National Collegiate championship for Oklahoma State in 1978. He was named twice to the collegiate All-American team. Qualified for the Tour in 1978 and has been on the top 100 money list 16 of 17 years. In the fall of 1980 he won the Walt Disney Team Championship with his brother, Danny. His best year has to be 1993 when he won the Heritage Classic and finished 20th on the money list with $653,086. . . Played on the PGA Tour between 1978 through this year when he turned 50. Has played in 561 events on that tour, winning four times and finishing in the top-10, 67 times. Was a runner-up nine times.
