Did not take up golf until age 20, when he began going with friends during his days off as a fireman in Hutchinson, KS. Former major league pitcher and Champions Tour player Ralph Terry helped him learn the game. Played one full year on the PGA Tour in 1995, best finish -was T22nd in Texas Open. He finished six on the Nationwide Tour money list in 1994. Played in 134 Nationwide Tour events, winner twice in 1994 Pensacola Open and Permian Basin Open. Has played in just about every tour around the world, he finished T3rd in Champions Tour Q-School in 2006.
