Claimed his third PGA European Seniors Tour title in August 2005 when he overcame strong winds and the rest of the field to win the Charles Church Scottish Seniors Open, a result that helped him to finish a career-best fifth on the Order of Merit. Has consecutively featured in the top 20 on the Order of Merit for six of the seven years he has been on Tour. His first two victories on Tour came in the 2000 TotalFina Elf Seniors Open and the Lawrence Batley Seniors the following year. Worked as a club professional at Richmond Golf Club, London, for many years and while he was there, he represented Great Britain and Ireland in four PGA Cups and also served as a Committee Member and Captain of the Southern PGA and the Surrey PGA. During his earlier career on The European Tour, the closest he came to victory was in 1978 when he lost out to Brian Barnes in a play-off for the Greater Manchester Open. . .Just missed getting his Champions Tour card for 2006 by finishing 20th at the Q-School in 2005. . .His 2006 season was solid, but he was unable to add to his three titles, coming closest at the Bad Ragaz PGA Seniors Open and The Midas Group English Seniors Open where he finished in a share of third place. Returned to the committee room at the start of 2007 when he joined the Seniors Tour Committee. . .Spent the winter of 2007 playing against the 'young guns'-on mini tours in the United States and the experience paid off as he returned to win the second event of the Seniors season, beating compatriot Martin Poxon in a play-off at The Gloria Classic.
