The 71st Senior PGA Championship, the first senior major championship of the year, will require more than 1,600 volunteers in a variety of committees, assignments and positions. Volunteer applications are currently being accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.

Participation in the 2010 Senior PGA Championship Volunteer Program will give local, regional and national golf enthusiasts the rare opportunity to be a part of the most celebrated major championship in senior golf. Committees include, but are not limited to: Admissions, Contestant Evacuation, Contestant Transportation, Corporate Hospitality Services, Distribution, Leaderboards & Thruboards, Marshals, Media Center Registration, Spectator Services and Volunteer Services.

All 2010 Senior PGA Championship Volunteers will be required to pay a fee of $120. In return, each volunteer will receive a uniform (golf shirt, jacket and headwear), a copy of the 71st Senior PGA Championship Official Journal, a lanyard, food and beverage vouchers, a merchandise discount, complimentary parking with shuttle service, and a volunteer credential allowing access to the grounds and Volunteer Headquarters all six days of the Championship.

Once registered, volunteers will be required to contribute a minimum of 16 hours over four separate shifts and must be flexible to meet the needs of their assigned committee, before, during and after the Championship.

JUNIOR VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Junior (13-17 years of age) and Student (18-22 years of age) volunteer positions are also available for the 2010 Senior PGA Championship. There is no volunteer fee for either of these groups. Junior and Student committees include Leaderboards & Thruboards and Standard Bearers. Participants will receive a free uniform shirt and hat or visor in addition to complimentary parking and shuttle service and a volunteer credential allowing access to the grounds and Volunteer Headquarters all six days of the Championship.
