Highlights of 2009 were finishing runner-up at The De Vere Collection PGA Seniors Championship and fourth at the Travis Perkins plc Senior Masters, en route to coming 19th in the Order of Merit. Secured a conditional card by finishing 14th at the Senior Tour Qualifying School in 2008. Led the qualifiers from Stage One with a fine five under par 67 at Quinta de Cima to make it through to the Final at Pestana Golf Resort. It capped a fine 2008 which included a share of fifth place in the Joburg Open on The European Tour. Won the Telkom PGA Championship in 2002, 17 years after he first won the title in 1985.
