Player Notes

Produced another impressive performance at the DGM Barbados Open in 2009, finishing tied fourth after coming third there the previous year. That was the highest finish of 2009, alongside another joint fourth place at The De Vere Collection PGA Seniors Championship. Held off the challenge of close friend Carl Mason to win the 2008 Weston Homes PGA International Seniors by two strokes, his fifth European Senior Tour title. Victory at The Stoke by Nayland Club helped him finish sixth in the Order of Merit, his second best campaign after 2005 when he landed his third title, the Charles Church Scottish Seniors Open, en route to finishing fifth. Returned from playing against the 'young guns' on mini tours in the United States to win the second event of the 2007 Senior Tour season, beating compatriot Martin Poxon in a play-off at The Gloria Classic. Worked as a club professional at Richmond Golf Club, London, for many years and represented Great Britain and Ireland in four PGA Cups and also served as a Committee Member and Captain of the Southern PGA and the Surrey PGA. Returned to the committee room at the start of 2007, when he joined the Senior Tour Committee.
