The 72nd Senior PGA Championship, the first senior major championship of the year, will require more than 1,600 volunteers in a variety of committees, assignments and positions. Volunteer applications are currently being accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.

Participation in the 2011 Senior PGA Championship Volunteer Program will give local, regional and national golf enthusiasts the rare opportunity to be a part of the most celebrated major championship in senior golf. Committees include, but are not limited to: Admissions, Contestant Evacuation, Contestant Transportation, Corporate Hospitality Services, Distribution, Leaderboards & Thruboards, Marshals, Media Center Registration, Spectator Services and Volunteer Services.

All 2011 Senior PGA Championship Volunteers will be required to pay a fee of $125. In return, each volunteer will receive the following:

Volunteer Uniform:
-- One (1) uniform shirt
-- One (1) uniform wind Jacket
-- One (1) uniform hat/visor

Also included:
-- Parking & shuttle service
-- Food & water vouchers
-- Championship program
-- Lanyard
-- Merchandise discount
-- Volunteer credential (6 day grounds access)

Volunteers may sign-up online by clicking the link above, or they may request an application by calling (502) 245-2000. Once registered, volunteers will be required to contribute a minimum of 16 hours over four separate shifts and must be flexible to meet the needs of their assigned committee, before, during and after the Championship.


2011 Senior PGA Championship

Junior (13-17 years of age) and Student (18-22 years of age) volunteer positions are also available for the 2011 Senior PGA Championship. There is no volunteer fee for either of these groups. Junior and Student committees include Leaderboards & Thruboards and Standard Bearers. Participants will receive a free uniform shirt and hat or visor in addition to complimentary parking and shuttle service and a volunteer credential allowing access to the grounds all six days of the Championship.
