LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- The PGA of America announced Monday that tickets are now on sale for the most prestigious major championship in senior golf -- the 72nd Senior PGA Championship presented by KitchenAid, to be conducted May 24-29, 2011, at Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville, Ky.
Beginning with the hosting of the 1996 PGA Championship through the 2008 Ryder Cup, Valhalla Golf Club has made an indelible mark upon the major Championship circuit. In 2011, the tradition will continue as both the legends of the game -- and the newest members of senior professional golf -- compete to become a major champion. Fred Couples, Greg Norman, Tom Watson, 2008 U.S. Ryder Cup Captain Paul Azinger, 2010 U.S. Ryder Cup Captain Corey Pavin, reigning Senior PGA Champion Tom Lehman and Kentucky's own Kenny Perry are among the 156 players eligible to compete for the coveted Alfred S. Bourne Trophy.
Consistent with The PGA of America's mission of growing the game of golf, there are several ticket packages designed to give more people an opportunity to attend the 72nd Senior PGA Championship presented by KitchenAid. Ticket prices range from $40 for a Grounds Any Day ticket to $250 for a VIP Experience Week Long ticket.
The PGA of America will also continue its popular Junior ticket policy in 2011. Juniors age 17 and under will be allowed access into the Championship Grounds with an accompanying ticketed adult. Each ticketed adult will be allowed up to four (4) junior admissions to the 72nd Senior PGA Championship presented by KitchenAid at no additional charge. Junior tickets must be picked up on-site at the Admission/Will Call Office at the Championship main entrance on the day of admission.
To honor the men and women who serve our country in the United States Armed Forces, The PGA of America is pleased to offer FREE admission for all active military personnel (offer valid for Any Day Grounds Tickets only -- I.D. Required). Tickets will be picked-up on site at the Admissions/Will Call Office on the day of admission.
All ticket packages, other than Junior tickets and active military tickets, may be purchased by clicking the links above or by calling the PGA Ticketing Center at 800-PGA-GOLF (800-742-4653). Tickets for the 72nd Senior PGA Championship presented by KitchenAid will be sold on a first-come, first-serve basis. Fans are encouraged to purchase their tickets early, as demand for tickets is expected to be high.
