Hoping to follow the strong Australian tradition of winners on the Senior Tour after starting the 2011 season with a share of fifth place in his home Senior Open. This was followed by a second place finish in the ISPS Handa Senior World Championship presented by Mission Hills China. The former European Tour champion found more consistency in his second season on the Senior Tour, with four top ten finishes as he ended the year 29th on the Order of Merit. Made his Senior Tour debut in the Jersey Seniors Classic at La Moye Golf in 2009, 26 years after making his European Tour debut at the same venue. Winner of the Australian Open in 1983 and then a runner-up on The European Tour no fewer than six times between 1984 and 1992 before finally making his winning breakthrough in capturing the 1993 BMW International Open in Munich. Individual and Team winner of the World Cup in 1989 when partnering Wayne Grady for Australia. But after his success in 1993 he struggled to find the same form and went back to the Qualifying School – Final Stage four times, successfully graduating in 1999 and 2001 to regain his European Tour card. Began to show some of his old form in 2002, finishing 63rd on the Order of Merit. Improved on that performance in 2003, finishing 45th, helped by three top ten finishes in his first six starts. Slipped to 73rd in 2004 and 110th in 2005. Lost his card at the end of 2006 but bounced back via the 2007 Challenge Tour Rankings, taking the 18th card.
